We only print on both sides for pole banners and vinyl banners. Retractable, fabric, mesh, and X-banner stands can only have one printed side.
Can I request to add grommets, pole pockets, and more to my vinyl banner?
Yes, you can. Our customers add grommets, pole pockets, and hemming to their vinyl banners by selecting the option that they want in the product calculator.
What comes with your retractable banners and X-banners?
Our retractable banners and X-banners both come with stands. For X-banners, a free black canvas carrying case is also included.
What are the standard advertising banner sizes?
Advertising banners come in different types and sizes, depending on your location and promotional strategy. Standard vinyl banner sizes are 96" x 48" or 72" x 36". In contrast, the standing and retractable banners usually range from 23.5" x 80" to 47" x 80". The larger step-and-repeat banners usually measure around 144" x 96".
These banner sizes are often used to promote brands, sales, and new products and can be seen outdoors in promotional spaces, parking lots, storefronts, and indoor events like trade shows and conventions.
What information should be included on an advertising banner?
If you are designing a banner for advertising, you should include these important details:
- ·Brand Name: Put your brand name in large, readable text that can be seen even from afar.
- ·Brand Logo: This helps establish the credibility of your banner. The logo is also a stepping stone to brand identity and enhances brand awareness.
- ·Promotional Details: What are you promoting? A sale? New products? Are there any updates to your brand? Put these details and make them the centerpiece of your banner!
- ·Contact Info: Include your mobile number or email in the banner so potential customers and collaborators can contact you for more information. You can even include a QR code for quicker access to your online stores and website.
Where are the best places to display advertising banners?
The best places to display advertising banners usually depend on the type of business you are running. Real estate and construction companies often display banners outdoors near their establishments, while food businesses like restaurants and food trucks display them in specific spots around the area to provide directions. Automotive industries like car dealers and mechanic shops frequently advertise near roads and streets with traffic.
There are also specific places where you can display your promotional banners like billboards, lamp posts, and fences. Indoor banners can be displayed anywhere inside a conference or trade show, using their X-frames and retractable bases to let them stand independently.
Are there any regulations or permits needed for banner placement?
Yes. Banner rules and regulations exist for banner placement, and you'll often need a permit to put up your banner, especially on public grounds. The most common laws about banner placement revolve around the size of the banner, its effect on public safety, and the message.
Some locations only allow specific banner sizes to be displayed outdoors and only for a limited timeframe. You also need to follow some guidelines regarding the zones and particular spots where you want to put your banner, all to ensure that it doesn't restrict people's safety and movement. There's also a rule regarding your banner's slogan and message. Ensure you do not spread false advertisements and display the correct details.
How high should I place my advertising banner for maximum visibility?
Placing your banner high enough will surely attract people's attention, especially if they look at it from a distance. However, how high you should place it usually depends on where you want to install it.
For outdoors, you can set up your banners on large billboards, typically 20' - 50' above ground level. You can also display them near the sidewalk via lamp posts and street poles ranging from 8' - 12' above street level.
Now, if you are in an indoor venue, you want to display banners above people's height to prevent accidents. Install the overhead banners around 5' - 7' above the ground on rafters or display poles. You can even go higher with a larger banner, up to the ceiling, though you also want to estimate since too much height would affect the visibility of your banner.
Can advertising banners be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes! Any banner can be used indoors and outdoors. There are also specific banners that work best when used outside, and some are made specifically for indoor use.
The large vinyl banners with grommets and ties are versatile and can be used inside and outside an establishment. Mesh banners are perforated so air can pass through them, perfect for outdoor use, especially in windy locations. The X banner stands and retractable banners are easy to set up and can stand independently, making them reliable indoor banners.
Can I personalize advertising banners for different events or promotions?
Yes! Personalizing your banner design is the best way to convey your promotion and message! You may create a standard banner design encompassing all your advertising, but you'll need specialized banners with the necessary info for sales, specials, and limited-edition promotions.
Create a banner design specifically for a special occasion online or inquire from a trusted banner printing service to help you with your artwork.
How effective are advertising banners compared to other marketing tools?
Advertising banners have been a go-to marketing option for decades. They deliver brand awareness to many people, and their designs are used as decoration and backdrop aesthetics.
Even though many businesses use online marketing tools to promote online, they also partner with physical banners to cover offline promotions. Seasonal sales and events, especially those people visit, like malls, restaurants, and public places, primarily benefit from banners that promote their products and point them to their advertising areas.
Should I use QR codes on my advertising banners?
Of course! Contact details are essential to include in your banners if potential customers want to inquire further about your promotions. In these cases, you can print QR codes to your banners that link people to your website so they can quickly check out what your brand offers.
This bridges the gap between offline and online marketing, and you can engage with tech-savvy customers and drive more online traffic through your advertisement banners.
What legal considerations should I be aware of for advertising banners?
Setting up and taking down banners involves rules and regulations enforced by many regions. Though these rules vary from area to area, they primarily revolve around banner size, the installation area, and the banner's content. Some of the legal considerations you should take note of include:
- ·Permits: You must ask private owners or local government agencies if you can post a promotional banner. You must also secure a legal permit document to prove you can use banners in certain areas.
- ·Sign Ordinances: When you're securing your permit, you should also know which types of banners are allowed to be posted. Some areas require specific banner sizes and shapes, while others will also check your banner's content to see if it is okay to display.
- ·Banner Safety: Your banner must not obstruct people from doing their primary activities and should not block public roads and sidewalks. It should also be displayed in areas where it can be visible but not inhibit people's movements or block accessways for people with disabilities.
- ·Banner Duration and Maintenance: Most locations only allow banner installation for a limited amount of time. Some places also inspect the integrity and durability of your banner, ensuring that they don't cause accidents or affect the environment.
