Gift Card Holders FAQs
What does pt. mean in cardstock?
Pt., or point, is a way to calculate the thickness of a cardstock. The higher the number, the thicker the paper.
If you need a more rigid card holder with a glossy surface, we recommend any of the 16 pt. cardstock options.
Should I choose glossy or matte cardstock?
It really depends on the look and feel you want to achieve. For example, a glossy finish is excellent if you want more vibrant colors and a more pronounced color contrast.
On the other hand, matte works well if you want a natural, minimalistic, or subdued look that makes text easier on the eyes.
How do I design a professional-looking gift card holder?
Choose from any of our free templates to create an accurate print. Note that all our templates include dieline, bleed, borders, and instructions to help you design professional-looking gift card holders.
How long does it take to print my gift card holders?
Printing can be as quick as two business days. However, the printing turnaround does not include shipping transit time, weekends, and holidays.
If you want to know the estimated arrival dates of your prints, click “Estimate Shipping & Delivery” and input your ZIP code. Several arrival dates and their corresponding transit times will appear based on your location.
Which file format is the most ideal when uploading my artwork?
As long as the image and texts have at least 300 dpi and the color tone is in CMYK, you can use files in PDF, PSD, PUB, or AI format.
Can I review the file before it’s printed?
Yes. After you upload your file, select “I need a PDF proof” under the “Proofing Options” section. Next, wait for an email that includes a PDF file. We need your approval before we proceed with printing.
