While both are forms of mail advertising, direct mail is mostly used for customer retention. In direct mail, the goal is to reach a specific list of recipients that don’t necessarily have to be in one neighborhood. With EDDM, the goal is to get to as many people in one particular location. You also don’t need to submit or rent a mailing list because the recipients are based on their zip code, city, and location.

The turnaround time depends on the type of postcard you order. For standard and EDDM postcards, it can take about 1-5 business days. On the other hand, the turnaround time for direct mail postcards can take up to 7 business days from proof approval.

Using our free design templates is easy. Get started by clicking on a design template you like. This will direct you to our online design tool. Another way to browse designs is to also type “postcards” on the search bar, and narrow down the results using the categories on the left side of the page. 

When you’re in the design tool page, you can edit your design according to your preferences. Click “Save” or “Save As” to save a copy of your design, or click “Proceed to Order” if you’re ready to have your design printed. 

To print your own design, select “Upload Images From Your Computer” in the design tool and then click “Proceed to Order” to checkout your order.
